ENE 480 Week 16

Greetings, Happy Last Day of the semester! Congratulations to those of you graduating.  I will hold office hours next week 1:30-2:30 PM AM on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The final project is due Monday, Dec. 12 at 11:59 PM.  If you need the grace period through Wednesday at 11:59 PM, please let me know.  Unfortunately, I am unable to extend the grace periods beyond Wednesday as we need time to grade your work. The final participation question responses will be due at the same time. You should have received an email from Bailey Weber yesterday regarding the course learning objective student evaluation form for ENE 480.  Your feedback is important to our ABET accreditation process, so please take a few minutes to complete the form. Finally, don't forget to complete SIRS course evaluations and Withrow Teaching Award nominations.  You should have received a Google form link from Sharita Williamson. Good evening, On Monday, I will not lecture, but will be available in the classroom to answer any questions you may have about Lab 4 presentations and the final design project.  You should continue to work on the final project during lab this week (and next).   Lab 4 presentations and reports and the participation question responses were due Friday, Dec. 2.  Good evening, I hope you are had a wonderful Thanksgiving Break! On Monday, I will not lecture, but will be available in the classroom to answer any questions you may have about Lab 4 presentations and the final design project.  If you borrowed the CO2 monitor, charger, and USB cable over break, please make sure to bring them to lecture on Monday.  The data are to be downloaded before arriving in class. Failure to return the equipment in working order on the day specified will result in a zero for lab 4. You should be prepared to work on the final project during lab this week (and next).   Lab 4 presentations and reports and the participation question responses are due Friday, Dec. 2. Good evening, I hope you are all well and staying warm. We have a short week coming up. In lecture on Monday, I will discuss the final project and provide additional guidance beyond what we discussed last week. Section 2 students: please arrive to class ready to turn in the CO2 monitor, charger and USB cable before class.  The data are to be downloaded before arriving in class. Failure to return the equipment in working order on the day specified will result in a zero for lab 4. There is no lab this week for either Section 1 or Section 2 students. If you would like to work on the final project on Tuesday afternoon, please email Joseph to make arrangements.  There is no participation question this week. Enjoy Thanksgiving and rest! ENE 480 Week 12

Happy Sunday!  In lecture this week, we will discuss the final project. Each team in Section 1 will need to return the CO2 monitor, charger and USB cable before class on Monday, November 14th. Each team in Section 2 will be given a CO2 monitor, charger and USB cable after lecture on Monday, November 14th. You will need to return the CO2 monitor, charger and USB cable before class on November 21th.  Failure to return the equipment in working order on the day specified will result in a zero for lab 4.  Assignment 2 is due Friday, Nov. 11 if you have opted to complete it.  If not, there is nothing you will need to do.  The points for Assignment 2 will be distributed to your other work. All teams are to attend lab this week as you will begin the final project.  Lab 3 memo and report along with the participation question are due on Friday. All the best, Dr. Masten

Happy Sunday!  Don't forget to change your clocks as the time has changed.  We've "fallen" back an hour. This week we will work on air quality monitoring. The CO2 monitors will be distributed before/after the lectures on Monday, Nov 7 and 14.  Each team in Section 1 will be given a CO2 monitor, charger and USB cable before/after lecture on Monday November 7th. You will need to attend lab on Tuesday November 8th to work with Shardula and Joseph to make sure that you have the software downloaded so that you can access the data collected.  You will need to return the CO2 monitor, charger and USB cable before class on November 14th. October 30, 2022 Happy Sunday! I hope you are taking time to relax this weekend. This week I will go over Lab 3, which you will do this week. As I mentioned last week, I am giving you the option of Completing Assignment 2 (now due November 11) and your point distribution will remain the same as in the syllabus Not submitting Assignment 2 and I will distribute the points from Assignment 2 equally among the other assignments/lab reports.   Note: if you submit Assignment 2 it will be graded and that grade will stand.  Assignment 2 is posted on LON-CAPA. Lab 1 is graded.  The rubrics will be sent out either today or tomorrow and grades will be posted on LON-CAPA.  If you have questions, let me know.  Lab 2 (due Nov 4): I have posted photos and field data on the blog.
